Embroidered Coffee Cozy!

From start to finish!

 LOVING the finished product!

String Art in Support of Autism!

I found this fun tutorial awhile back on string art!
I thought I'd try my hand at it it support of autism!

I had Home Depot cut my true squares at 4x4 to keep everything balanced when completed.
I use a light hand to free hand a heart of different sizes to use as a guide.
Using a small hammer and finishing nails with a small head space your nails as far apart as you like. Mine are approximately 1/2 " apart.
Embroidery thread! Your best bet for string art I find!
I chose the autism colors to complete my heart.
Start from the outside and work your way in, especially when working with nails close together.
Start by wrapping around one nail and make a knot as your starting point.
 The process is very simple.
Just begin to zig zag and cross over until you see your space start to form.
Make it as thick or thin visually as you like

After each end point of color tie off a knot at your last nail. Begin your next colour.
Continue to zig zag until you acheive the look you were going for!

Crocheted Fingerless Gloves

A few weeks I followed a tutorial by the ever so wonderful
 Mikey from The Crochet Crowd.

Those who know me know how much I adore his style of teaching.
Whether you are a right or left learner, he provides both avenues to achieve success in your projects!

One side took about an hour from start to finish.
For me it fits perfectly!

Its a great starter project with very simple instructions.
If you are a visual learner, Mikey is the man to view!
